KSEB - Getting the name transferred - Acquired Ancestral property

You have obtained the certificate for name transfer from Kochi Corporation. You are lucky that KSEB is online. Before you can register online, ensure the KSE meter is transferred to your name.

Do the following steps:

1) Be prepared to arrive in Kochi on a Tuesday and be available till Saturday ( except second Saturday)

2) Approach the helpdesk at KSE office ( they are very friendly) and get the contact name of the EB assessor

3) Prior to starting the process for the name change, ensure all electricity bills are paid and there are No Dues.

4) Your ancestral property will have a drawing of the EB line, the boards, and switches

5) Make sure the EB assessor comes home to re-assess and take stock and provide his report.

6) Provide your photograph, a copy of Aadhar card, the original name transfer certificate issued by Kochi Corporation and the fees to the assessor.

7) The transfer validity certificate must contain the old record number and the new record number

8) Provide your signature which should be in sync with the records at the Kochi Corporation

9) The cost of ensuring that the name transfer is effected will set you back by Rs. 3000/- onwards based on the points of electrical consumption

10) The papers are authorized by the AE of KSE and updated in the system. The next billing cycle will ensure the name change has materialized.
